Requirements for joining the MASL

  • Prove financial stability to assure that league fees, referee fees and performance bond can be paid.
  • Provide a properly marked playing field for your teams home games.  Rental fees for National Sports Center apply, if using their fields.
  • Provide two sets of uniforms, one for away games and the other for home games.
  • Provide a set of goal nets for all home games.
  • Provide four corner flags for all home games
  • Provide three game balls for all home games.
  • Roster enough players (minimum 11, maximum 26) to field a competitive team through the soccer season (May through August). 
  • Designate a team representative to attend all league meetings.

Costs for entering the MASL

  • League fee of $460, for season (All teams).
    Performance bond of $200 (All new teams).

Additional Costs

  • One-half of referee fees, (75-10 = $65), to be paid at halftime of each league game. This $10 dollar referee fee, per league game, will be collected when each team registers. It will be sent to the center referee once their game report is submited, online.
  • One-half of referee fees, ($75) to be paid at halftime of each playoff and/or cup game.
  • Mandatory U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) medical insurance ($25 per player) to be paid when registering players.
  • Cup fee of $30 per cup, for Minnesota and/or Wilson, if applicable.
