Division Alignments The 1st Division features Minnesota’s 10 most competitive teams. Each team plays an 18-game regular season schedule which constitutes, a home and an away game against the other 9 teams in the division. At the conclusion of the 18-game regular season, the bottom team is relegated to Division 2. The relegated team is then replaced by the top team from Division 2, for the next season. The 2nd Division alignment and schedule is the same as that of the 1st Division. At the conclusion of the 18-game regular season, the top team is promoted to the 1st Division and the bottom team is relegated to the 3rd Division, for the next season. The 3rd Division alignment and schedule is the same as that of the 1st & 2nd Division. At the conclusion of the 18-game regular season, the top team is promoted to to the 2nd Division and the 8th, 9th and/or 10th place teams are relegated to the 4th Division, for the next season. The 4th Division alignment and schedule is similar to the other divisions with the only difference being the number of teams playing in 4th Division. Since all new teams must start in the 4th Division, the number of teams and alignment can change from year to year. Top team in each bracket will be promoted to the 3rd Division, for next season.
